Anne is committed to strengthening organisations, their people and their communities. Her work has always been about contributing to the public good. She is an experienced and skilled organisational consultant, educator and researcher.
She works collaboratively with clients in the community, not for profit and government sectors undertaking organisational change and development projects, strategic thinking and planning and governance, leadership and management development programs and evaluations. Anne brings a deep understanding of the evidence that points us to what enables organisations to develop their ability to be effective in uncertain and challenging environments. This understanding is combined with a sensitivity to context, so all interventions are tailored to the particular needs of the organisation concerned and the sector in which it operates. Central to her work is the recognition that all project methodologies and their outcomes must be engaging, fit for purpose, practical and capable of being implemented. Her work is informed by a robust theory of change and the ability to apply this sensibly to organisational practices.
Anne's work is guided by appreciative inquiry, reflective practice, action learning and action research as these approaches are more likely to build enduring capabilities, foster sustainable change and embed learning. It is also informed by a strong, evidence-based knowledge of the theory and practice of organisational, program and system design, change and transition and evaluation.
She has designed, delivered and evaluated leadership development programs across the community sector. They are designed with the organisation's development in mind as well as building the skills of individuals and teams. Anne has considerable expertise in the design and facilitation of creative and successful staff, stakeholder and community engagement processes. This is supported by highly developed group facilitation and process consultation skills and the ability to constructively manage complex and sensitive discussions and contexts. She is an experienced evaluator of organisational systems and programs and researcher with strong skills in design, data gathering, analysis and reporting, blending rigour with practicality. Anne has significant experience in working with community based boards of governance including Chair and Chair of Governance Committee roles.
