Leadership in the Reorientation of Day Services Project (LIRDS) 2010-2011
Our team supported a project leadership group over 12 months to enhance the capacity of Chief Executive Officers, Day Service Managers and other key leaders within Community Service Organisations to successfully lead the transition to self-directed approaches in day supports. The project was funded by the Victorian Department of Human Services. Our consultants worked in partnership with the project leadership group to coordinate project activities such as training, undertake research, facilitate information exchange, develop resources; and prepare project progress and evaluation reports and presentations.
The project produced a number of electronic, hard copy and multimedia resources on self directed approaches including a resource kit. A reflective practice approach enabled the leadership group to learn about its leadership approach and to evaluate the success of specific project strategies.
