Footscray Community Arts Centre – Changing Days Evaluation
LDC Group supported the staff to evaluate programs based on Person-Centred Planning and the Quality Framework for Disability Services. The evaluation included.
- Facilitating a planning day with staff to develop an evaluation framework so that all tutors contribute to the development of evaluation questions, methods and tasks. The planning day also explored how to evaluate peoples’ participation based on identifying personal outcomes consistent with Person Centred Planning. Questions explored included:
- What are the different ways in which peoples’ participation can be evaluated?
- What part can tutors take in the evaluation that is relevant to their program?
- How can participants be involved in the evaluation design and what role can they have in evaluating other participants, e.g. interviews, photostories?
- How could families be involved in the evaluation?
- Facilitating 3 two-hour progress meetings with instructors to provide guidance on:
- Coordinating evaluation activities
- Collating and analysing data
- Preparing and evaluation report
- Preparing a draft and final evaluation report with data provided by staff
- Facilitating a review day with all tutors to reflect on the process and outcomes, the findings and to prepare the final report
