Adult Community and Further Education and Office for Disability - Evaluation of Disability Action Planning in ACE: A Partnership Project

In 2009 LDC Group undertook an evaluation of the Adult Community Education (ACE) sector experience of preparing Disability Action Plan (DAPs). The evaluation included identifying developments in ACE capability in meeting the education and training needs of people with a disability arising from participation in the 2005-2006 ACFE Project Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Disability Standards for Education (DSE): Achieving compliance by ACE Providers.

The Evaluation of Disability Action Planning in ACE was a partnership projects with the Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) and Office for Disability (OFD). Both offices are in the Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD). A Project Reference Group established to oversee the evaluation, met several times to provide advice and support on evaluation activities. The evaluation included surveying participants of the 2005-2006 ACFE professional development program and conducting focus groups to discuss future initiatives.
