Pro Bono

LDC Group consultants have a long history of supporting community organisations through Pro Bono research, consultancy and financial advice. We have assisted many organisations with limited resources with the preparation of funding submissions, strategic planning and evaluation activities. For example:

  • Judith Freidin has a long term involvement in the community sector and has provided financial services on both a professional and volunteer basis to a range of indigenous organisations since 1999. Since 2007 she has worked as a project volunteer on the Woor Dungin (share) project providing financial advice and assistance. This project aims to strengthen the capacity of indigenous organisations and build knowledge within the philanthropic sector in order to develop productive relationships between ATSI groups and philanthropy.

  • Liz Dimitriadis has supported a number of organisations with management activities over many years. During 2011 and into 2012 she has been assisting the Lighthouse Foundation as a member of its Care Services Subcommittee; facilitating strategic planning and assisting the preparation of funding applications. The Lighthouse Foundation provides homeless young people who come from backgrounds of long term neglect and abuse with a home, a sense of family and around the clock therapeutic care.
