Multimedia is a powerful way of communicating key messages to project stakeholders and enabling people to voice their experiences, concerns and ideas. Multimedia can have a variety of purposes and be delivered in a variety of ways for a variety of audiences; from DVDs to content for websites and portable devices such as iPods.

LDC Group uses multimedia to engage audiences and provide opportunities for people to convey important messages in policy development and service delivery.

Examples of multimedia products developed by LDC Group on recent projects are listed below. They utilize graphics, still photographs and moving images, as well as original music.

The second newscast is written by the members of the drama group from an initial scenario provided by LDC Group. The group is supervised by Paul Lietzau. The voice over is read by Janet To.

Using interview and re-enactment, the third newscast presents two stories of how culture may be expressed to inform quality improvement, even when the individuals involved have complex communication requirements.

Adam "Boz" Barry loves to go to the football and demonstrates how he learned to utilize public transport to get himself there. For Linda Lupson, the colour yellow is very important as it forms an integral part of her identity.

Justin Kavanagh and Laura Riseley, who work at the SCOPE CRU where Adam and Linda reside, discuss the impact of complex communication requirements on Adam and Linda’s ability to express culture and make changes in their life.

Newscast 4 "What’s going to make a difference to peoples’ lives?"
